Oy vey i’ve never seen someone mess up the building blending so much in terraria
Please use paint there’s also boulder blocks there’s many different types of brick blocks as well like tin brick and lead brick that could blend into the marble
also personally marble is a harder material to blend into but if you want to use something lighter maybe go with a lighter brick then a painted marble block or dungeon block
fun fact the jungle temple block can grow grass on top of it and on the sides just remember if you plan on painting it let the grass grow first then paint it so it will blend in better
I also highly recommend looking at the r/terrariadesign subreddit for building pallets and texturing Terraria does have the advantage over minecraft where we have an plenty of ways to add in color and texture through furniture, decor, walls, lighting, and landscaping
Of course I know that minecraft has its own unique ways of adding that stuff in but purely talking about the vanilla content of both games The color palette in minecraft + texture palettes are much more limiting
(i’m not saying this as a minecraft hater I play both games regularly)
This gradient is really nice, but don't forget that you can use paint. For gray bricks, you can mix them with crimstone bricks, ebonstones bricks and basic stone, all painted gray, for a prety cool gradient! And by the way, if you want a beautiful wood gradient, you can use natural wood, rich mahogany, ebony, and ash wood, all painted brown 🙂
And yes, it is possible to make stones with moss on them; moss can be obtained underground or apparently from a new type of zombie that only appears in graveyard biomes.
terraria actually surprised me with the building complexity as its only a 2d game ,this game is amazing and i fell in love with it as soon as i played it
