I played on this one day drum and I was fairly new to the game I had just beaten it for the first time and I came back after a week this dude invited me to his world and I accidentally paroled out my excavator and broke three background tiles I immediately replaced them but he was so spiteful he got him and his friend his friend to distract me and he destroyed my world that I had built through my first run it was honestly heartbreaking I didn't play the game for about a year after that since it was my first experience.
yea some dude I invited into my world was acting like he was knew even though he had like +100 hours on the game, got in destroyed my base and crafting stations and said he was 'making it better' grabbed all the potions I had and drank them, then trashed them and summoned a blood moon mid destroyer battle and said 'heh'
I was on my Xbox one on my oldest possible world, I was extremely stubborn at that time so this guy wanted to join my world so I invited him. he threw like 5 bombs at my house that took so long to make, then i kicked him. he said it was his pet giraffe who bombed my base so I invited him back and he did it again, this repeated for an hour. now i never let anybody join my worlds.
Griefing others = "waaaa 😭😭😭😭 i hardly finished the game once and these dudes are doing it for the 50 th time waaaaaa 😭😭😭😭 they have to pay back for my suffering they cause me waaaaa😭😭😭😭😭"
I the early days of Terraria mobile 1.2 you had to do a lot of work with VPNs in order to play with friends, and it was like a open lobby with no password, so if someone had the intention to grief you your only way to prevent this was to close the map and select another region
Yeah i'd been hosting a fun public event on xbox and some dude spawned in with a modded shroomite claws, Thankfully i'd instantly closed it cus im quick on the draw like that.
The only grieving I’ve ever done is once I’m done with the world and I’ve completed everything. I nuke my entire base and then I start a new one eventually.

Just don't allow friends of friends and it should be alright as long as you only have people you know befriended on steam

i once got griefed by a friend before i attempted planterra ( reply if i spelt it wrong ) and i lost everything i had because they picked all of it up
I’m a builder who’s really sensitive when it comes to griefing builds. I just hope something like this doesn’t happen 😔

I griefed some kid on the xbox 360 version years ago when he tried to scam me out of my terra blade
