Mob farm or enemy farm is a player-constructed structure designed to automate or highly accelerate the process of spawning and killing enemies. The goal is to efficiently collect rare drops, biomes-specific items, coins, and crafting materials.
Because Terraria’s enemy spawning mechanics are strict and predictable, players can manipulate the environment to create highly optimized farming zones usually built in the Cavern layer where the most valuable loot drops.

thank you so much for the guide, I tried making an afk farm not long ago but I'm so dumb that I just couldn't figure it out myself (╥﹏╥)
Block swap the actuated blocks too to only spawn biome-specific mobs.
I think you don't need make artificial jungle biome for underground desert because underground desert has insane spawn rate than jungle.

You could also use Dry Bombs/Super Absorbing Sponge to remove the water if needed, along with adding a chest auto-sort feature through wiring
