Today we’re checking out the Monster Insanity Add-On for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This add-on introduces a dangerous creature that becomes more aggressive as your insanity grows, alongside new mechanics including nightmares, sanity effects and even the ability to become the monster yourself. Let’s see if this is one of the best horror add-ons available on the Marketplace.

I seriously hope they expand on this creature, I feel like the animations are 10/10 but the rest didn't live up to the hype I was kind of hoping.. apparently day time appearances can happen too

The trailer felt misleading for what it actually is. It's underwhelming and not scary at all.
Changed the like from 67 to 68👍
If they did it in dream sequences that would make sense but it feels like you just get teleported while you're awake and it just doesn't feel right. I think they should have done demensions instead of teleporting you to a sky platform… and let you explore dream demensions to complete challenges… maybe finding the monster through a series of dreams, and running from it when it gets mad at you for failing. Or something like that, kinda like Freddy Kruger.
I think I'd like a first person view when you merge with the entity, maybe have a cool visual effect (toggable) when you become it.
I have checked this out once it released.. and my opinion:
The morph system is cool.. But it’s not perfect.. I tried it.. and the morphing is like you riding a horse.. and it doesn’t even have a first person.. plus.. the model are pretty thin and kind of lame.. I will give it 4/6 stars..
What is your opinion, Echo?
it looks like we have a new age for the marketplace horror!
What zoom is that? Does it come with this add-on, or…?
Sanity: descend into madness does such a nice job at bringing paranoia into MC… And it's free
I had hopes for this one, but it feels like it was made for scripted videos rather than normal survival
Still waiting for a bedrock horror mod that is actually…good.
It's nice to have a different kind of monster add-on. It doesn't really attack you, it just wants to test whether or not you're worthy of its companionship. And the challenges fit the idea that you're going insane since they're so repetitive. Definitely better for a playthrough rather than just going through it like you did.
They just need to add a way to get him back if he dies.
Also you got mixed up with the potions:
Obsidian Shard>level I
Essence I>level II
Essence II>level III
Essence III>level IV
Essence IV>level V
Essence V>level VI
The challenges need to be more interactive, for example, don't look behind you should simply be to avoid looking at it as it slowly drifts to your sides causing you to have to look away, don't look away needs to be more intense, my idea is to effectively take a mechanic from another game five nights at candy's 3's final boss and have you have to keep staring at it as it bounces around the area
This to me is similar to the cave dweller except a wholesome version 😅. But yes this could definitely have potential if it feels less than just Simon says and have more of a risk threat escalating mechanic. For the customizations I feel like they should be earned via challenges such as taming it multiple times maybe in different ways.
They should make it like the cave dweller. hes so cool looking.
Ecko create huge update has come check out now.
Also love from india
It should either be a forest dweller, a dweller that will spawn in forest biomes, whether that be day or night. Or a shadow dweller of sorts, that spawns in the dark whether it be during the day or night.
The insanity should be a constantly increasing meter that in order to reduce "the monsters" spawn rate you need the sanity potions. For insanity to increase you should be in the dark or attacked by mobs.
I'd probably give it 4 phases.
A stalking phase (30% insanity) it will spawn as a shadowy figure that will watch from a distance till spotted, disappearing.
A following phase. (50% insanity) The shadow figure will begin to follow the player, spawning in front of them, jumpscaring them, but never attacking them.
A rage phase. (70% insanity) once it turns night the shadowy figure will spawn in, turning into "the monster" with that special transformation animation. It will pursue the player till the morning, but will avoid walking into lightened areas, waiting until you leave the light to pursue or till you go to bed.
Nightmare phase. (100% insanity) "The monster" will no longer avoid the light, being able to randomly spawn during the day or night to attack the player, also summoning its hands in order to grab and slow the player down. Every chase during this phase will last at least a minute before "the monster" despawns. Every time you survive during the nightmare phase, "the monster" will drop an item allowing one to transform into "the monster" if not in any light, granting them night vision in the process.
This addon has potential, it just has a weird direction.
Prefiero java que bedrock
parasite add on 2.0 The purple 🟣⚠️💀
Ever since Shapescape abandoned Extinct Dinosaurs and simply ignored the community, I've never again trusted spending money on their add-ons
2:26 "im must gunna grab myself a couple of items, nothing to crazy" dawg what✌😭
The monster is cool and kinda cute with the customization but he is not scary
I'm surprised that we have been getting better tech on bedrock but all of the best scary add-ons 1-2 years old like dwellers
Can't wait for October because I have some hopes for this year
