The bat only comes out of mahogany trees at night, so it's not too much of a threat early on, at least. Ash trees in the underworld can also have underworld critters come out too.
The cenaxe pet is great, I got it right at the start of one of my playthroughs and since there was a tree in the middle of my base it ended up passively generating like 1000 wood over the playthrough.

I play on Mobile with chance+ so I get there easily, as well as with other with other things I managed to find for mobile

dont forget about the bombs in legendary mode! Super fun
I always get the sugar glider but never the way core mainly because my stupid dumb ahhh hollow is always in the freaking snow biom

And you can also get fruits wich is good for the well fed buff,and in the start of the game it's a pretty solid option for fighting the bosses

Am sad since am lucky in all the wrong places 2 slime staffs in 100 slimes and annoying starfury instead of nothing and eculitus sap pre any bosses
