While I know they are using shaders, what type of biome would most likely represent something like this with dense trees and rivers, large forest/taiga w winding rivers and mountains? I tend to realize, especially on the newer versions of Minecraft, biomes tend to be very small, which is quite frustrating, or overly large to the point where it’s only possible to find one or two biomes for miles. Just wish there was a good balance, any ideas?

I have a few I generated myself, perhaps they’ll be what you’re looking for.
-5459629197800011959 forest rivers, portal near spawn in river.

8643353864 it has some cool caves and I can’t recall anything else (i haven’t remade these worlds for some time).

    19104373647 archipelago
This one I generated off a whim when I was bored and appeared to be an archipelago from my initial glance around.

  2. Yeah this is all heavily modded with custom terrain. You won’t really find something like this in vanilla.

That’s the Redwood Forest biome from the mod Biomes Aplenty. You will not get that in vanilla.
