Game Description:

Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG!

You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!

Features
Turn your overgrown field into a lively farm! Raise animals, grow crops, start an orchard, craft useful machines, and more! You’ll have plenty of space to create the farm of your dreams.

8 Player Farming! Invite 1-7 players to join you in the valley online! Players can work together to build a thriving farm, share resources, and improve the local community. As more hands are better than one, players have the option to scale profit margin on produce sold for a more challenging experience.

Improve your skills over time. As you make your way from a struggling greenhorn to a master farmer, you’ll level up in 5 different areas: farming, mining, combat, fishing, and foraging. As you progress, you’ll learn new cooking and crafting recipes, unlock new areas to explore, and customize your skills by choosing from a variety of professions.

Become part of the local community. With over 30 unique characters living in Stardew Valley, you won’t have a problem finding new friends! Each person has their own daily schedule, birthday, unique mini-cutscenes, and new things to say throughout the week and year. As you make friends with them, they will open up to you, ask you for help with their personal troubles, or tell you their secrets! Take part in seasonal festivals such as the luau, haunted maze, and feast of the winter star.

Explore a vast, mysterious cave. As you travel deeper underground, you’ll encounter new and dangerous monsters, powerful weapons, new environments, valuable gemstones, raw materials for crafting and upgrading tools, and mysteries to be uncovered.

Breathe new life into the valley. Since JojaMart opened, the old way of life in Stardew Valley has changed. Much of the town’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair. Help restore Stardew Valley to it’s former glory by repairing the old community center, or take the alternate route and join forces with Joja Corporation.

Court and marry a partner to share your life on the farm with. There are 12 available bachelors and bachelorettes to woo, each with unique character progression cutscenes. Once married, your partner will live on the farm with you. Who knows, maybe you’ll have kids and start a family?

Share.

  1. 24:32 Sunfish are in fact real! There actually three sunfish Families. The Ocean Sunfish or Mola, most famous for the Mola Mola(That's the one Keith is thinking of), and the Freshwater Sunfish or Centrarchids, and the Pygmy Sunfish or Elassoma. Why we decided to name three different families of fish(only one of which is saltwater) the same thing I do not know.

  2. It's funny they let you eat the daffodil in the game. In real life, daffodils are toxic. Eating the bulb will make you very sick. It can be very dangerous as it looks a lot like iris bulbs (when not flowering), and iris bulbs are edible.

  3. I relate to the “efficiency mindset”. It was only 3 weeks ago-ish when you uploaded the first episode that I started questioning that mindset.

Although parts of the game were frustrating you, like NPCs disappearing, you were still having fun exploring the game and its mechanics. It’s a nice change of pace, and something I’d like to try next I get the chance to

  4. You in fact, cannot fish a sunfish while it’s raining. And yes that’s probably a pun on that fact that it’s a “sun”fish. But also they are river fish, not ocean fish in this game.

  5. There are ocean sunfish (the big strange looking ones in memes) and freshwater sunfish (the little ones you catch and fry in a pan with flour while fishing/camping).

I went to an aquarium recently and ended up pointing out different species of fish to a young boy. It suddenly clicked when he recognized many of the fish from Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley.

  6. The nice thing about stardew is that you can take it at your own pace. The only time you're really "punished" for not playing efficiently is that crops don't grow in winter – but there's ways to optimize your farm to full functionality even without conventional crops.

And, I suppose, the patch 1.5 content (post community center) can also be sorta punishing if you aren't optimizing mildly, since it's more meant for players that know there way around the game and way to take it further.

  7. Maybe it's just me, but you seem happier this episode. Stay happi. :3

Also… Because you seem at least a little interested in them: Albert likes amethyst and quartz. Hayden likes daffodils. ;3

  8. A lot of the fishing has specific timing. Season, time of day and weather are all variables you need to keep in mind. You can learn about it from the TV or books, but the easiest is just looking it up on the wiki.

  9. Good luck on your journey to figure all the things out in the game and getting into a groove that works for you. I think one good thing about the quests is they don't really penalize you for failing, you just don't get the rewards from what I remember.
