And I don’t think there’s an actual meaning to the note, just a cute little photo of the two of them

I’ve always figured it was pretty obvious its an older picture of Marnie and Jas. same hairstyles and color palettes
I also think the only “meaning” to be had is to show the passage of time. When has this game ever mentioned Marnies parents, siblings, or any other random family members? given the context clues and the fact that we dont EVER see family visit from out of town. its a pretty safe assumption.
