When did the dog start wagging their tail when near the farmer??

The info box says this might get deleted, but I dont see this topic on the list of things to avoid. Also I genuinely have not seen anything about this including on the wiki, though I have not really looked at the pet page on the wiki, so maybe its common knowledge.
