Netherack is is like a Red Cobble stone

Recently I tired teaching myself to use blocks, and it occurred to me netherack is like a red coblestone in terms of design.

And looking at other blocks you could say that:

Raw copper block =brown cobblestone

Raw Iron block = white cobblestone

Raw gold block = yellow cobblestone

Sure some are more expensive than others, but I feel like this opened my mind when it comes to building in minecraft.
