I was thinking about ways to reference within Terraria itself while also being nice and silly for For The Worthy. What follows is a rundown of the First Prism (Figure 1), the best Magic weapon in the game.
First Prism
- Type: Weapon
- Damage: 1 (Magic), shown as a constantly re-rolling large number that “just happens” to be 1 when used
- Knockback: 0
- Mana: ∞ (completely depletes Mana)
- Critical chance: 0% (or disables crits entirely like Summoner’s minions)
- Use time: 600 (this is 10 seconds in real time)
- Velocity: 10 (this probably doesn’t even matter since it’s actually hitscan)
- Tooltip: ‘Don’t.’
- Rarity: Fiery Red
- Sell: 1 Copper
- Research: 1 required
This would be available in For The Worthy, Master or Legendary only, as a rare drop from Green Slimes or something. Very importantly, For The Worthy-exclusive. This would suck if it wasn’t a For The Worthy thing.
When used, it has a massive startup of 10 seconds accompanied by sounds similar to the Last Prism combined with a horrible whooshing that both gradually get louder. After 9 seconds, the whole screen fades to white and everything that can take damage within a massive range of the user takes exactly 1 damage (if possible, regardless of any bonuses).
Someone will probably try to make a challenge run using this weapon only. They will suffer.
For The Worthy.

i wanna know what the method of obtaining this thing is
So this thing is essentially useless
Interesting idea nonetheless
Actually a cool idea of the item itself existing. Too bad it’s entirely a joke suggestion though
I don’t really understand. Is it only obtainable in for the worth? Or is it a master mode and higher drop?
It should increase damage and reduce charge time for every creature on the bestiary defeated with it, and if you complete the bestiary with it it becomes the last prism (or a variant like final prism or something), like the prism is being polished with the enemies, so it isn’t completely useless but an actual challenge (specially because you want a challenge run with it)
Wait wait wait anything within range of the user takes 1 damage?
…does that include if the player is behind blocks?
If so… that could be very useful for farming or at least turtling during events
Literally no one would do a challenge run with this I think.
At the very least not until the moon lord (unless they find a way to macro it maybe).
If my INITIAL interpretation was correct and it’s 10 seconds, then it would take nearly 264 HOURS to kill the moon lord (ON NORMAL MODE BTW), and that’s ASSUMING that every instance of 1 damage will perfectly align with a moment where both hands and the forehead eye are open.
If it’s actually 19 seconds per 1 damage then normal mode moon lord, still assuming your luck with the eyes is amazing, would take 501 HOURS.
And that’s not taking into account the rest of the game which would probably take longer in total
