I wouldn't assume all, or even most, will be in Vanilla, but they could give us a picture. What do you think of them?

  1. Were getting to the point where some of these start to sound like Pokemon names lmao. But I am very excited to see which of these come over to Java and Bedrock!

This is something I hope more people keep in mind. Dungeons has never been 1-to-1 with the base game, and there are a lot of difference between them. If people expect the Sift update to be an exact copy of the Dungeons 2, they will be disappointed. That isn’t to say I think the Sift is going to be a let down, I expect it will be really cool. Just don’t expect it to be exactly like Dungeons 2.

I wonder if the 5 different blub designs tells us there will be 5 biomes in the sift.

God dam….that is an impressive number of mobs for the sift.

Especially since the nether has like 7 or 8 and the end has like 4 or 5.

  5. I know it’s subjective, but aside from the monarch, bloombud and the sprout, they kinda look lame, especially the sculk ones. I expected at least the sculk ones to have more sculk tendrils, dark or bone like spots, and more interesting shapes, like the Warden.

    The Monarch looks amazing, though.

monarch would be cool but if prickle does not end up in the main game im gonna crash out hard

  7. Do you think it might have any of the rejected mob vote mobs? I feel like it won’t, but it would be super cool to have a few… Since they’re likely adding a bunch of new mobs anyway…

  8. The diagonal block mob designs are amazing I really hope we get more of those in the future

  9. The sprout and harmonizer feel unlikely to me, they have bendy tentacles which are very different from other vanilla mobs.

Besides Blub, these are the mobs I think will be added:
Echo Golem, Prickle, Slabber, Nester, Seedling, Roamroot, Bloombud, Nuzzle, Fusefly, and maybe Dartback.

I hope the monarch and similar mobs don’t end up in vanilla. As cool as they look their corner facing design would really bug me in vanilla.

  12. Without knowing what they each do in MCD2 it’s going to be hard to say.

I could see the Singer, Echo Golem, and any of the other “music” mobs not come to the base game being part of the MCD2 story.

~~Same thing with the Hunter, Scavenger, Trapper, Stalker, and Monarch as they all feel like bosses created for D2. It would be nice to get A boss in the Sift but it would be weird to add 1 of the 5.~~

Obviously it would be fun for a bunch of new mobs to come to vanilla but we could also see something like naturally spawning sniffers in the Sift to give it a passive mob without creating a new one.

  13. Seeing how the End was released with only 2 new mobs, I’m expecting them to do the same with the Sift. The Blub for sure because it was advertise but we’re lucky if we have at least two more coming.

  14. I hope that many mobs don’t come to minecraft.. the color scheme is okay but how many neon blue type blubs do we really need đŸ˜, like any dimension, there should be variety and unique characters that are worth remembering for.

The Singer is called “HealthyWarden” in the files by the way which has some interesting implications. Although I feel like that wasn’t hard to figure out even before the game launched just by looking at it’s design and how the Sift and Sculk are described in the arg

i hope the sift is at least as fleshed out as the nether is. Give us a good 6 or 7 of these guys
