Leaf litter is clogging inventory Mojang. It can be 4×4 too so you can combine it in inventory.

  1. This would make it such an over powered fuel source.

Edit: btw I’m not saying this is a bad thing.

I’ve always thought you should just need shears to pick them up or silktouch to avoid the inventory clog

  3. Btw, leaf litter should be stackable to 16, like snowballs. /j

Also, I absolutely love this idea! I truly think that this would not only make a great fuel source for early-game, but it would also introduce a possibility of something similar to the current kelp farm setups we have (since dead leaves are like kelp in the sense that they’re renewable through smelting).

I think more resource blocks for vegetation in general wouldn’t hurt, if wheat can be crafted into haybales and melons into a melon block then it seems illogical not to have a similar block for carrots, potatoes & beetroot.

Some mods add these in the form of crates, which I think isn’t a completely outrageous idea because crates filled with vegetation would also serve as nice decorative blocks to substitute composters and barrels in farm builds

  5. Hear me out: a 9×9 of leaves on a crafting table should condense it into a pile you can place. (breaks fall damage same as a bed)

I like the concept but it’d be cool if we could somehow turn lots of leaf litter into colorful, fall leaf piles. Missed opportunity with the dappled update if you ask me

  7. Make it a pile of leaves. A block you can walk trough kinda like powdered snow that just slows you down a little.

Leaf litter blocks should work like powdered snow and cushion your fall without freezing or suffocating you.

Could craft into a “leaf pile” block, which would smelt 3 items (4 leaf litter smelts 2 items). When placed it could reduce fall damage when you land on it and give off a bunch of particals and a frequency that skulk sensors could pick up.

Preferred tool is a hoe or shovel, and when broken without silk touch drops 4 leaf litter.

They could even generate sparsely in dappled forests.
