I just started playing Stardew Valley on Xbox a few weeks ago and I’m already so happy to be a part of this community 🥹💚
I know I don’t really talk to anyone on here, but I just wanted to share my little farm and say how much this game has honestly meant to me lately.
I’m a mom to a 2 and a half year old and this has genuinely been one of the hardest times in my life. Between a horrible pregnancy, a really hard postpartum, ongoing health issues and dealing with possible precancerous cells for the past couple years, I feel like the stress has just taken so much out of me. It’s gotten to the point where my hair is falling out and I don’t even feel like myself anymore.
And honestly, one of the only things I look forward to lately is 7:30 at night when I get to sit down, turn on my Xbox and go take care of my little farm 😭😂🌱
I love how much there is to this game. I’ve been playing for weeks and I swear I learn something new almost every single day. There’s always something else to discover and it’s just so cool how much detail went into this game.
I know it probably sounds silly to say a little farming game has brought me so much peace but when life feels really heavy sometimes you just need something to escape to for a little while.
Life is just so hard right now. So yeah, I’m just really thankful for Stardew Valley and this community…💚🌻

how u managing the farm with a 2 year old kid around
I’m really glad you’re able to find joy and comfort in stardew it’s definitely a lovely game. Sending hugs to you for everything you’re going through it’s definitely tough but the quick escape to our farms helps ☺️🩷
I’m glad Stardew is helping you find some peace! It was a haven for me as well while my husband was deployed. I was really lonely and poured my soul into my farm and Pelican Valley was my community.
It’s several years later, and I still love to play Stardew. The hubs came back safe and we have a three year old now. I’ve got a new farm that I play split screen with our little one, and it’s the best. She mostly just wants to scythe grass and pick up eggs, so I work on improving her farm while she dawdles around being silly. That’s the farm I don’t take seriously and let her be free with it, and it’s a great time.
I’m so sorry life is rough at the moment. I hope things get better soon and love that you’ve found a little pocket of peace with the game. <3 I use it to escape a bit too 🙂
I’m so happy to hear that this game and community helped you so much 🙂
I hope everything goes well for you!
I’m a new mom and hanging in there as well. You should be so proud of yourself. Every day is an accomplishment, truly. Women are incredible!
Stardew brings me joy too. It really is an escape and very rewarding as the journey progresses. Wishing you continued peace. 🥰♥️
I never made these 8 tile sprinklers cuz I thought they were a waste of resources
Instead I manually watered 150 crops during the fall with an iron watering can
