The snow is really ok'ish Like i like the background and overall vibe and it does offer good stuff all across the game You can get early pre hardmode weapons You get the Ice Skates which are needed for the Terraspark Boots The Frost Cores for the armor It's an overall balanced biome
used to always make my houses in the snow biome lmfao, I still have two of my worlds with their respective characters saved on the cloud from 2014 and 2015 with both bases being in the snow biome lmao
The least explored biome? Bro, that's the desert and it's not even close (and that's coming from someone who almost always goes for desert loot in playthroughs)
I once had a terraria server with my friends where each one of us colonized a biome, I chose the snow biome and build a snow castle and a fishing hut next to the lake, but in the castle there was a secret passage way I made to a whole underground bunker complex ranging from long hallways to storage rooms, to hanging bridges over pits of nothing and finally leading to a giant underground city made from titanium bricks (engineer type shi)
