I would like to see some version of the black trim back; that's why I made a few alternative versions as a suggestion of how I think the new texture could be modified.
Personally, I'm not happy with this change. I think the new texture lacks contrast, looks boring and it is too monochrome and I don't like that a lot.
(Also yes I have a very strong opinion about a single block texture leave me alone ;w;)

You did a good job doing it, but it doesn’t look good to me… I really like the wooden design with no grey, it’s really useful for a lot of builds

I think your models look great, but they don’t really match Minecraft’s current style quite as well as the more muted colors of the new jukebox.

I really like version 2! The new snapshot texture doesn’t feel fitting for something you can interact with; it feels more like a building block, akin to the end of a wooden pillar with a black line on top.
I LOVE the bottom right one. It looks like the perfect blend to me.

YES. i wanted to do this. its exactly what was wrong with new texture. I’d say V2, maybe darker horizontal line? something about the horizontal line makes it look thin, but thats probably just the ss being weird

I like #1, but with the black boarder on the top lined the outside of the Jukebox, and not the smaller new version (maybe that one could stay the new-darker brown?)

You should try one where instead of adding the black on the edge you add it where the new texture has it’s “ridges”, like the second pixel from the sides and the third pixel from the top
I like the black frames being re-added, keeps the aesthetic continuity with the note blocks while still being clearly distinguishable from them
