  1. idk what exactly you’re going for with your build but the sulfer is the one that reminds me the most of the creepy vibe of the movie backrooms

  2. Three is the best Backrooms-esque pattern, cause the bamboo is too textured and the 2nd pattern feels almost organic? The third I think is a better implementation of the staleness of the backrooms!

  3. One of the first two for sure. The first is more “realistic” but the second captures the effect of the backrooms better. Pick your poison.

Bamboo looks closest to accurate, but something about #2 is most distressing, which might be more important.

  5. i always prefer bamboo but i think whatever the second image is makes it feel more backroomsy

If you are creating a map, use /give @s light_block_7 Instead of using a lantern or flowstone for light. Then you can bascially choose any block as a “light” and put the light source below it. Makes it super ominous.

Why not yellow concrete powder since that’s the most defining aspect for the comments

  8. I think a combination of these blocks would go best:
    – ceiling and lights from 2
    – wall from 2 (but keep the wall all that lighter colour block rather than the lowest block be that mud-looking one)
    – floor from 3

I wish the bamboo and sulfur could have a baby and that would be the perfect block

  10. I just remembered that the original backrooms wallpaper is actually pink, the lighting just makes it look yellow

  11. I’d vote for the third one. I think it matches the spirit, if not exactly the look, of the backrooms.

I prefer the sandstone one, it looks easier to clean and less cheap
Edit: Oh you wrote backrooms and not bathroom my bad

  13. I think bamboo and chizzled sandstone (or whatever’s use in picture 3) would look best, it breaks up the pattern a bit and makes it look like wall paper rather than bamboo.

Personally, I’d use stripped birch wood, lit with scattered yellow frog lights.

I’d make the floor out of the brown mushroom block, and use packed mud for some floor splotches.
