  1. Ya know, everytime an update comes out people always say "this feels like modded Minecraft." But with the popularity of the Create Mod this does actually feel modded, kinda like back when Horses were first added due to the popularity of Mo' Creatures.

  2. Am I the only one who felt their brain melt… like, red stone is mythical and magical to me still. This is just mind blowing to me, I won’t be creating anything with the crafter but I can’t wait to see what other people do and then use their blueprints.

  3. I think the common way people will use this is having locked hoppers with comparators waiting for a stack then unlocking the hopper while locking the previous doing that with an and gate or something.

  4. the pots where giod for having just 1 inventory slot but the crafetr migth be better for being able to have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 or 9 inventory slots mwaning it is already very usefull for auto sorters witouth even crafting

  5. I wwnt to use skulk so I just walk up and it starts spitting out items, and a deactivator skulk once I exit. Like pumping gas first before you pay sort of mechanic so you can overdraw and pay later for it.

  6. Someone who's good at redstone please find a way to take broken bows from a skeleton farm using the auto crafter to repair the bows by combining them then craft a bunch of Dispenser with it. 🀣 plz and thank you.

  7. I've watched several videos on the crafter and the snapshot so far and by far yours is the most interesting informational and educational. You've earned another subscriber. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  8. I think you missed a potentially key detail, in that the crafter primarily inserts in a way where items of the same type are filled up until they are equally filled, and then it inserts left to right, top to bottom. So if you have slot 1 with 10 planks, slot 2 with 1 plank, and other slots filled with other items, inserting a plank will make it go to slot 2, until the 2nd slot also has 10 planks (after which it goes back yo alternating 1/2).

I think this coupled with the fact that the crafter is an inventory that can hold a full stack of items, leads me to believe that probably the easier way to setup these crafters is to just put your full crafting recipe in and only craft when there's 2+ items in every slot (or probably just stop crafting when each slot doesn't have max stack in items). Detecting that might be tricky, but I feel is maybe doable with comparators on the inserting hoppers.

  9. Someone is gonna use the crafter to build a machine that builds a fully functional PC inside Minecraft with an AI that plays Minecraft inside Minecraft and beats the Ender dragon. I give it a year.

  10. I think they made it way too complicated for the casual player. The redstone would take up a whole warehouse to craft something more complicated. I feel like it would be a headache to set up and would break often. Just make it more expensive to craft so it isn’t game breaking and let me put in a designated recipe I want it to craft so it auto sorts the items into the correct slot.

  11. Love how you've always done the same neat presentation for these snapshots with everything laid out before recording. This really looks great, makes me wish that Seth could return to Minecraft to see what he could cook up with this block.

  12. So, I think the better way to handle it would do have the comparator on the input hopper. The crafter would have all the slots locked ecept the ones needed for crafting, and it would be preloaded with full stacks of every item.
So that when the hopper's comparator level was above a certain threshold, it would pulse. That way it would only craft if you had enough of a backlog to not ever worry about a slot being emptied in either the crafter or the hopper.

  13. Technic did this like ten years ago XD but still cool to see in vanilla.
I got bored on a technic server and made a quantum armor factory. The mods weren’t thrilled with that lag lol

  14. I can't wait to see the development of the ULTIMATE holy grail: one crafter that's able to craft every single item in the game. Very unrealistic in survival but I know that there are people out there capable of concocting such a contraption.

  15. We really need some kind of comparator comparator that outputs a signal if the input is high enough.
(Or just a good block to actually use the comparator's compare function easier…)

  16. Uhh idk if this will be seen but your texture pack for console kinda messes with the store, it doesnt have any cursor or highlight thing for the pack you want to look at in the store. I can navigate different sections but have to figure out what pack im clicking by forcing the cursor all the way to one side and clicking over the number of times i need

  17. I have a feeling the crafter is gonna get used a lot in counting small numbers of items. It can often be useful to wait until you have X<64 items and it finally gives a good way to count that with a small footprint.

  18. The simplest fix to a crafter is for it not to craft if any slot contains only one item. That way the preferred orientation is always there

  19. What if, instead of taking a comparator output from the crafter to signal when gunpowder has flowed in, you could have two separate hopper chains flowing into the crafter and read a comparator signal from a hopper from each chain to detect when those input hoppers are non-empty. Wire those together with an AND gate and then use the output from that to briefly unlock both hoppers, releasing one gunpowder and one paper and then triggering the crafter.

  20. They need to simplify red stone more. This is way too complex. Just give more UI for controlling what flows where, filters, and implement proper pipes Mojang! Mods make this easy.

  21. I want to invite people to my Minecraft Realm please join I have noone to play with please don't grief and destroy everything
    Invite code is XUSW6pkRRZ8

  22. Ok. Automatic villager wheat farm, autocrafting into bread to breed villagers automatically to make an iron farm that autocrafts the iron into blocks before storing it into shulkers and putting them into a storage system… I’m going to go crazy with this…

  23. Adding the block dispenser and autobreeder and we might achieve the one step further to the full vanilla redstone automation.

    The factory must grow πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

  24. Complex recipes don't take that much to work. It's hard to explain in text but it uses a line of droppers and hoppers in order that the items form in the recipe. If all the droppers get powered at the same time, the correct items will be placed in the grid in the correct slot. You can make the comparator redstone very compact by setting the comparator to subtract mode, then point another comparator in to the side of the first one, then placing a lectern with a book on page 8. Basically when the crafter fills up, the output of 9 will be reduced to 1 from the lectern.

You can use an observer clock (just 2 observers pointing into each other) to constantly craft. If a recipe only needs 2 items (like fireworks), you can just use an AND gate to detect if either dropper is empty. Use a 2×2 hopper clock (which is the perfect timing for a 2 item recipe) to power the droppers. Connect the result of the AND gate to the hopper clock to lock the hoppers. So whenever either dropper is empty, it will halt the droppers from ejecting items that would mess up the recipe until it gets filled again. Put a lever on the hopper clock for an on/off switch.

This probably sounds complicated but when you see it visually it's a lot easier to grasp and it is pretty compact.
