Don't diss the Bloody Machete, it carried me through a lot of pre-Hardmode in Master difficulty.
You can actually change the date on your device for the halloween and christmas events

In a master mode playthrough I killed one slime and it dropped a bloody machete
ngl if your playing the constant seed pumpkin pie saves you alot
