well ask yourself why noone talks about minecraft updates
because new versions are for little kids that are too dumb to install mods
pretty much everything that is in the updates was in mods before
mods that contain way more things
and were made by less (not at all) paid mostly alone working individuals that put much more love into it

and its obvious that they rebranded for literally 8 year olds

Maybe that was what happened when they were testing it, then they just made it not do that as a fix
