  1. 1.12, it’s not the oldest, but it feels like the last version of Minecraft before it changed too much

  2. 1.7

I started playing in 1.5.2 but my copy was pirated so I couldn’t update. So when I got the chance to play 1.7 it felt like a whole different game.

What do you mean there are horses? And colorful glass?! *And* new flowers?!? TWO NEW WOOD TYPES?!?!! Duuuuuuuuuuude, that’s amazing!

If 10-year-old me got the chance to play 26.1 he’d lose his mind lmao

Strangely beta 1.7.3 is my favourite for building since there’s little progression and no hunger plus I find it more engaging because the lack of blocks forces you to be more creative

But the version I play the most is Xbox one edition since it strikes a balance between sandbox builder and survival game for me

    I started playing on Minecraft PS-3 Edition….

    When?….about 2013 or 2014 (that PS-3 is long dead)….

Early post release versions, like 1.2-1.3. The simpler block palette and mechanics are easier on the mind and help me relax, while the old textures make me feel like I’m in middle school again.

Also I miss the massive oceans of pre-1.7 world gen. They made the world feel more continental, for lack of a better word.
We went from landmasses surrounded by water to water surrounded by landmasses.

I joined minecraft during pocket edition’s equivalent to 1.11 so I’d say 1.12 is my favorite. (I was like 7)

1.6.4. Installed so many mods with my friends on my laggy self hosted server on my laptop, connecting via hamachi because I couldn’t figure out port forwarding.

    Man to be 13 again😅
