I need more mods that add societies of neutral/passive villager-like mobs that you can interact with. Bonus points if they are cute. Please tell me any you know of.
The abnormals suite got plenty from the damn slabfish to grazers to rats to creepies

Goblin Traders is the big one I can think of before getting into ambiguous picks. They’re bite-sized villagers that can show up in caves and the Nether.
Golem Overhaul gives you the option of *building* your little guys, though some are just around in the world instead. Notable mentions are Honey Golems (derpy walking beehives that can shoot and provide honey projectiles, spawn in Birch forests), Terracotta Golems (made by heating up Clay Golem statures, can be equipped for range or more melee damage), and Barrel Golems (found in Villages, trade Emeralds like Piglins).
Now as for an ambiguous pick, Species is a giant mob expansion with relatively few eyes on it, and while a good chunk of them are hostile, quite a few are neutral, passive, or straight up beneficial. The Deepfish (found in underwater caves, make funny noises) are probably right up your alley, but I personally like the Quake (giant neutral brick walls that only become a problem if someone hits them).
