Legendary daytime Empress of Light

Hey,

My first ever kill of Empress of Light – not "first daytime", just literally first time I've killed her. 😄

Pretty challenging environment:

• Pre Cultist (so pre Moonlord/Lunar events too, obviously)
• Never killed Fishron for his wings
• Never killed Betty for her wings/sword
• No Frost Moon / Pumpkin Moon in this world yet
• No Martian invasion yet
• Post golem
• 1.4.5, so no damage blocking/dodging available
• No cheesing (like flares, etc)
• LEGENDARY diffuculty (FFS – 166600 or whatever HP was pretty hardcore)

For anyone willing to repeat this:

• Large drunk world for easy huge pool of lava
• Superheated Blood – key part here for lava shark mount
• Legendary Terra blade
• Rod of Discord
• Obviously TP to hell with Hallow patch, Prismatic Lacewing, etc
• Best melee armor:
  • Hallow Mask
  • Monk's Shirt
  • Squire's Greaves
  • Destroyer Emblem
  • Warrior Emblem
  • Avenger Emblem
  • Fire Gauntlet
  • Mechanical Glove
  • Sun stone
  • Shark Tooth Necklace
• ALL possible potions and buffs (obviously no reason for defence, regeneration, etc). My set:
  • Ichor flask
  • Ale
  • Rage potion
  • Wrath potion
  • Calming potion (just to not be bothered, doesn't matter)
  • Swiftness potion
  • Biggest luck potion
  • Plenty Satisfied food
• Sharpening Station
• Slice of Cake
• Lucky Clover helps too

Simple tips for her attacks:

• Obviously always move, thoughtry to eventually get better at stopping to spend more time dealing damage
• Remember that lava ocean size is limited 🙂
• Dash: If you move fast you can just ignore her dashes – she doesn't touch you, but it is better to always slow down for damage – THEN you need to get lower for her to miss
• Prismatic Bolts 1 & 2 :- really annoying. Move at top, do horizontal U-turn immediately when you see first lines. MOVE VERTICALLY A LOT – like BIG U shape. That helps all the time
• Sun Dance: good time to stop and damage her
• Everlasting Rainbow: just move and hit, lol
• Ethereal Lance 1: nightmare 1. Literally most of my death was… this stupid attack. Approach: when she disappears get LOW, as soon as you see attack starting move up-right/left, when third batch appears – move ONLY right/left. That's literally it, shark is very quick
• Ethereal Lance 2: first time is bad, but quick to learn – literally stop, rotate VERY slow down-left or down-right – OUT of her (to dodge her immediate next attack)
• Ethereal Lance 3: similar to Ethereal Lance 1

Stats: no idea, died like 150-200 times. 🙂 2 evenings, about 4-5 hours total with no prior experience.
