I love the simplicity! It gives a cozy vibe.
Perhaps to show off your building skills as to not be embarrassed by a rookie, you could start a mega build with lots of details. Build something less simple 👌
The trapdoor/shroomlight combo is a very nice touch, I might use that in a future build, if you want to beat your friend just build something bigger lol
