Stardew Valley 1.7 Marriage Candidates Update!
Clint is the literal LAST person I expected to be announced as a marriage candidate for Stardew Valley today.
Not only is Clint kind of creepy and very “nice guy” but you’re always going to be second best to our blue haired diva Emily!
On the other hand though, even though I was hoping for Marnie, Sandy is a great addition to the marriage candidates!
You have to achieve quite a bit before even being able to access the calico dessert, and then you’ll have to make a trip out there every single day to talk to her and give her gifts. Talk about commitment!

I trust concernedape, I think clint will get redeemed, or at least hopefully become a little more tolerable. Maybe I won’t feel guilty popping my geodes anymore, either that or I’ll only need to get two less hearts with him to achieve perfection
the wizard is all i wanted in this world. clint is so fucking annoying. we need a big boy, but it can't be clint 😭

given theres a lot of older players in sdv, it would be nice if eventually they had marriage options that werent robbing the cradle- gus, willy, pam (lol)

I think all the hate towards Clint is made up, it's just the same people in the community repeating the same thing. he is weird, when he literally only talks to Emily like 5 times and they were all very normal for his personality

Oh, nice. I don’t know Sandy that well so I’m glad to see Clint get updated. His original plot line about being socially inept was kind of endearing imo – he was sort of shoved into his life by decisions he didn’t have a hand in so he’s not good at talking to others or dating.
After Emily became a marriage candidate instead of just one of the many npc’s, Clint didn’t really get changed to acknowledge that players might marry Emily now, so he just came off as weird for it.
I hope to see him still be awkward, and learning to be a person outside of work and sleep, it’s really good for a lot of people to explore the idea that even if they’re not good at talking with others they can still have a social life and improve along the way.
Excited for Clint because he may be socially inept but he isnt a disgusting cheater like the Wizard ❤

I wonder when 1.7 will hit, i haven’t unlocked the desert on my new save file yet. I like penny and Abigail but, may go with Sandy.
