Pretty sure I hit the record for “hours played before finding out you die if you dig to the bottom”


Every couple years I do another hardcore master mode playthrough, this one (first time on 1.4.5) was going absolutely great with tons of fishing quests and pylons set up, tons of plants and potions ready for hardmode, then I went to go complete my nights edge and somehow in all these years I guess I never actually dug to the bottom. Woopsies

    Dying to the bottom of the world is new to 1.4.5. In previous versions you could stand on the bottom of the world.

    i have like, 2k hours between modded, vanilla and console yet didn’t even know that, is it new????

    Nah its definitely new, i remember being able to stand at the bottom when getting the achievement instead of “oh… that kills you”

    aaaah so that’s why they have an achievement for dying in space, i didn’t know you could die by hitting the bottom

    Its new in 1.4.5, due to the skyblock seed if you have no fall damage but dont have recall potions or the mirror you would be stuck at the bottom until you relog or you could just build a base at the bottom of the world which makes skyblock kinda useless, thats my story on why they did it, i dont know the real reason
