I have made a whole new mountain to replace this one and I want to remove it so I can build farms below it. will I have to flatten it first before I can use TNT sweepers?

the second photo is the new mountain I want to make in survival!

Just build in a flat plains or meadow if you just going to make your own custom mountain anyways.

  2. tnts… or tnt duping machines… or start dighingbut thats gonna take atleast weeks..

Beacon instant mine or OP enchanted tools.

You could also probably find random peeps to help you.

Honestly the 2 pictures arent all that different. You should have more removal in the central valley for terraforming than you should in the outer mountain area.

It looks like you are adding more than you are removing. So I would use litematica and remove by hand where needed.

i usually make a grid above in every intersection (spaced 4 or 5) i put a dispenser, then i put 16 tnt, wire it all up and start tearing down the mountain, it’s faster than you think

You could flatten the middle area, and then use the current mountains integrating them into the base of your much larger mountains?
It would save you endless hours of digging, and save you a few thousand blocks to place!

Start digging. You can use TNT but from my viewpoint, it’s almost harder getting rid of all the missed, floating blocks then just setting up a beacon and doing the work. When I have to do this kind of large scale terraforming, I grind for a bunch of good picks and shovels if I don’t have them already, make two shulker boxes to hold all of them and just go to town. Once I’ve used all of them up, I take a pause, go mend everything, stock up on things like torches and food and head back and work again. Put on a good podcast or stream a classic movie to play in the background and just chill and mine.

Of course, if you don’t have shulker boxes, an XP farm and access to villagers for enchantments, it could be even harder but that’s why I grind to get these things. It gives me more things to do in my world so I don’t get bored with it and avoid the “two week Minecraft phase”. I want to complete a big project but to even start in that project, I have multiple things I need to do before hand. Set up villager trading, kill the dragon, raid end cities, build an enderman XP farm, enchant what I already have, go find diamonds for more gear, build a creeper farm, dig tons of sand, crafts tons of TNT, go ancient debris mining, smelt ancient debris, upgrade diamond gear and craft more. Then, I can truly knock out that big mountain removal project. Of course you don’t have to go to those extremes but it’s something I’ve come to embrace it as part of Minecraft and what I’ve found to keep worlds long term. It’s more satisfying to me in the end as well.

  9. Easiest way, commands. lol

Ok, no commands… TNT flying machines would be fun. Otherwise, get a few beacons, lots of pickaxes, and an XP farm, and get mining.

You might want to take a minute to think about where you want your new mountain to be, so that you don’t have to mine everything.

  10. id just add the new one on top.. also a good excuse to build other stuff for the farms

Incorporate it!!! Don’t remove the entire thing, make large caves cutting through, make steeper or more gradual slopes, add foliage and make it look like an ancient crater that a jungle has consumed!

Imagine walking through the jungle, then walking through a large opening and you are suddenly in a jungle crater!!!

My biggest tip for big builds like this is to begin one thing, and let it carry you forward with inspiration. You can remove things whenever you want, it’s much more annoying to put them back.

Edit: Can’t actually tell your goal being farmland or a jungle, but either way you can make it work!

  12. Thanks for the comment I think I’m gonna have to do a lot by hand sadly luckily I’m in the late game some tools won’t be a problem

Beacon, insanely enchanted tools, and a great podcast. Maybe throw in some energy drinks and block out a weekend

Farm a shulker or two of TNT and place along the mountain
And then mine off the rest of the left overs

There’s a few good dnd podcasts on youtube. Get a beacon and get digging.
