I think in combination with all the junk wood scattered around the place, the hard mode floors 40-79 are my general “skip” floors. At least you have the option of never needing to go back there once you’ve completed the Qi quest for them and thus never need to face these guys, unlike those Serpents.

I’d probably hate them too if they didn’t only spawn on floors I always skip anyway because of the spiders lol

Head in with the Basilisk’s Paw trinket, once you’ve gotten one. You’ll be immune to the Nauseated effect.
These things are so fucking irritating
