First time playing Minecraft and I get the hype now 😄
Running it on my MacBook Air M4 (16GB) and it’s insanely smooth. Didn’t expect this level of performance on an Air tbh.

Watched the movie recently and that pushed me to finally try it… now I’m hooked.

Any beginner tips?

Welcome to the rabbit hole, once it runs that smooth it’s hard to put down 😄

  3. If Mojang was serious about optimizing Minecraft it would have been able to run even on a toaster. It would be really bad if it didn’t run smoothely on an M4.

dig straight down until you find diamonds, works every time and definitely won’t kill you

Once you get to the NETHER your character actually gets a small temporary health increase if you sleep on any place in the nether

The buff even increases by the amount of items you’re carrying

It really helps out for that place’s hostile mobs

  6. My top 3 tips when starting a new world:

    1. Make a wood pickaxe and mine 20 cobblestone. That’s exactly enough for a sword, two pickaxes, an axe, a shovel, and a furnace.

    2. Travel by boat if possible. This allows you to cover long distances quickly without exhausting your stamina.

    3. Don’t stop until you find a village. Villages are the perfect place to stock up on essential resources.

  7. Don’t feel like you have to do anything. Sometimes, parts of the Minecraft community can get caught up in their own little bubbles and say the game must be played our way. There are many ways to play, and all are valid. So find what you like to do.

    1. Find somewhere with cool terrain and settle down. Build a house, or mine a house into the side of a cliff
    2. Don’t be afraid to look up guides or find a playthrough on YouTube and play along
    3. Enjoy the vibes. This is your own little sandbox. I personally like walking around in the rain and casting my fishing rod out into a random river.
    4. It seems like you haven’t tried farming yet. Punching grass gives wheat seeds. These can be planted in tilled dirt and eventually grow into wheat for bread. Bread is a good early-game food source, and the wheat itself can be used to breed animals. You can also find or get vegetables by killing zombies.
    5. Play with some of the game rules. I know people who bounced off the game because they kept dying and losing everything. So, turning on keep inventory was a big help to them. I personally hate not having enough blocks to fill in creeper explosion holes. So I play with mob explosion decay set to off.

The only thing keeping me from switching to a Mac is Bedrock not being available. There are so many nice features that I’m not willing to give up
