Bedrock bug where when you die and the items get un rendered they appear to be floating, in reality they are on the ground where they would land from the death pop but the visuals are in the air, if you leave and rejoin it should fix it’s self, either that or just wander around wherever you think they would land

don’t forget looting also works on mobs like wither skeletons for skull farming
