Try placing the trapdoors one block lower, and in that previous spot, put the same wood type shelf block there for a more curved arch.

OOH!! place a red block, such as red concrete powder, behind the bamboo trap doors!!
then you can have a consistent motif throughout the build of red surrounded by yellow 😀
and if you want to add a tiny bit more detail, place a bamboo sign on the wall a block above the cherry sapling (so it’s behind the bottom half of the banner) 😛
